| Kdog-I have 3 older Burris 4-12 compact AO Bal Plex reticle scopes. I dearly love those reticles. However my scopes are extremely eye position sensitive at the higher magnifications. So much so I don't often use them above 8X. I know proper, repeatable eye position is critical to accuracy, but mine have what I think people call flare. Just move your eye a little out of position and the image flares away. Does the timberline model do this? Thanks. Will P. |

Will,
I havent noticed that with the time i have spent with the scope.I just went and got it and with my cheek firmly planted on the cheek piece i can turn my head to left to right back and fourth and i never loose the field of view in the scope. This is on 14x looking across my family room.Maybe Scott can chime in and comment on this but i dont believe this scope has that flare issue.
I will tell you the eye relief on this scope is 3.5 to 5 inches,,,,,longer than most scopes.I mounted mine more forward than i normally would because of this longer eye relief.
Hope this info helps Will.

pcole,,,
Im SURE you wont be dissapointed in the Leupy,,,,Great scope in every aspect and is in a whole different league than this Timberline. If you want top of the line optics on a rifle you got it in that Leupy!!
In my opinion this Burris Timberline is a great scope for smaller sized guns, carbines, where you want to keep the weight down and have good glass and features that us airgunners look for. Also at $200 ive seen alot of scopes that dont look near as good as the glass on this one.
Congrads on the purchase of your Leupy EFR!

Thanks Kdog
I'm thinking about getting camo'ed before I use it, I just recieved a new stock for my Air Ranger 80Fpe. it's a grade 3 walnut and it feels so much better than the stock one. It's from Steve Corcoran of Woods and Water outdoos, he did a great job. Currently I'm using a Weaver 6-24x42 mil-dot and it works good. I will have to learn how to take pic's to post them eveythings done. |

These little Burris scopes are sweet performers. I've purchased two Timberlines from SWFA, and selling one of them with a plex reticule. Brand new. Will keep the ballistic one. For the price and lifetime warranty, it doesn't get any better than this. _________________ .177 HW30S, HW50S, HW100T
